I am a bit of a workaholic. I tend to have more than one
job on the go at any one point and the nature of commissions
is that you are hanging about waiting for a client, either
for their approval, or payment or just their input. I am
not a person to sit on my hands, so if I am on hold with
one project I usually start another. I will also start
things if the mood takes me too…….
These are current projects..
Above: I am doing a series of ladies backs, these
are for me really. I am experimenting with some under
painting techniques. I plan five in the series in a
variety of colours. Under
painting is a technique
that dates back to the old masters. Some advocate under
painting in black and white and a succession of grey tones.
Personally I do flesh in green as I believe it brings out
a more natural skin tone.
Below: The girls on the horse are a commission. I like the pictures and I will look to having them as a series of three.
The transformer is just a bit of fun, a picture for my
grandson's bedroom.
In addition I am working on some life casting and working on my next story
which I hope will be in print later this year.
